
President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated some APC governors who emerged victorious in Supreme Court rulings on their elections

Following the victories affirmed by the Supreme Court on Wednesday, December 18, some governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been congratulated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In his congratulatory message to the APC governors, President Buhari expressed his joy over their victories in what he called legal battles, Nigerian Tribune reports.
The president said that it is now time for the governors to work hard and ensure that they make good all their campaign promises to those who voted them into power in the various states.
The president called on the APC governors not to see their rivals during the legal proceedings as enemies, since, they were only exercising their constitutional rights to seek redress in court.
As he charged the governor to strive and deliver the dividends of democracy in the next four years, he prayed that God’s guidance and wisdom will be with them.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the election victories of Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna and his counterpart in Nasarawa, Abdullahi Sule as governors of their respective states were on Wednesday, December 18, upheld by the Supreme Court.
The duo had contested and won the governorship elections which held on Saturday, March 9, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In the case of the Nasarawa governorship election, the apex court threw out the appeal filed by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), David Ombugadu.
