Olivier Giroud’s overhead kick earned Chelsea a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie in Bucharest on Tuesday.
France striker Giroud scored the winner on 68 minutes, his acrobatic effort allowed to stand after it was initially ruled offside in a game moved from Spain due to Covid-19 restrictions.
