American hip hop artist, Cardi B, recently visited the West African countries of Nigeria and Ghana to entertain her teeming African fans. She first came to Nigeria where she seemed to have had so much fun. Her energy right from when she was being taken from the airport to her hotel accommodations was absolutely positive. She was very excited as she described Nigeria as a replica of the Dominican Republican, mixed with a touch of New York.
She went on to have fun at hotspots in the city of Lagos, with videos of her in a strip club breaking the Nigerian internet space over the weekend. She even hung out with top Nigerian celebrities including Davido, who reported bought 20 bottles of champagne for her at a Lagos club. She took to her social media pages to appreciate the ‘Fall singer’ over his gesture.
She so much enjoyed her time in Nigeria, especially the food as she went on and on about Nigerian jollof rice. At a point she used it in the defence of the country when a South African tried to troll.. Lol.. Story for another day.
She was obviously paid to come perform, but her time in Nigeria was nothing short of a holiday as she enjoyed every bit of her time here. From her arrival down to her performance on stage. It was all electrifying energy. She was having the time of her life, well until her time in Nigeria came to an end and she had to go to her next stop… Ghana.
Upon getting to Ghana, things seemed to switch from a dream holiday to a drama filled one. A meet and greet was arranged for her obviously without her knowledge, so she wasn’t there. Some Ghanaian ladies began talking trash about her over the meet and greet. She would later reveal that she was with some of these ladies at the poolside around then but none had notified her of the meet and greet. She also revealed she her stomach was hurting, most probably a case of food poisoning.
As if things could not get worse, while performing on stage, the lights went out. One can only imagine how she must have felt at that moment. After all the hassles. She made a video where she addressed the issues, calling out the female celebs and complained about her experience. It must have been really ‘traumatic’ for Cardi.

Nigerians went all out on Twitter to roast their Ghanaian counterparts following her video which she put up.One can’t help but feel sorry for the Bodak Yellow singer who it seemed was a fairytale experience but was, however, given a dose of harsh reality which may have ruined her African experience at least for now.
