UniOsun To Hold Virtual Convocation

The management of Osun State University, on Monday unveiled activities for the 9th convocation of the university scheduled to hold on September 21, 2020 virtually.

The university has subsequently engaged a courier company  to deliver academic dresses and memorabilia to 95 per cent of the 1,946 graduating students that had shown interest in participating in the convocation.

While addressing journalists on the campus of the university, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Labo Popoola, said 35 of the 1,946 students would bag first-class degrees for the 2018/2019 academic session.

The VC, said the convocation lecture, titled, ‘The New Normal: Challenges and Opportunities for Tertiary Education,’ would be delivered by Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, a professor of Economics, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, New York, and a Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Sustainable Development Goals.
