Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane has tested positive to COVID-19 following a bad week of being dumped out of the Copa del Rey.
The Frenchman has seen the form of his team dipped in recent games – losing to Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup and dumped out by Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey.
The news was revealed shortly before the coach was due to speak at his Friday press conference ahead of the weekend’s LaLiga Santander match against Alaves.
He would not be available for the Alaves match which would be overseen by assistant manager David Bettoni.
