Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, recently confronted actor Odunlade Adekola over a viral video involving Portable’s baby mama, Ashabi.
In the video shared on Odunlade’s Instagram page, the actor was seen embracing Ashabi and playfully asking if she had informed Portable before hugging him.
“Hope you told Portable you want to hold me? Tell him you want to hold me,” Odunlade teased.
Unimpressed by the remark, Portable reached out to Odunlade via direct message to address the comment.
He also reshared the video on his Instagram story on Tuesday and shared screenshots of their private conversation with his followers.
In his messages, Portable expressed his displeasure, emphasising his loyalty and stating that people often misjudge him as troublesome. He urged the actor to speak positively about him and made it clear that he does not joke about matters concerning his family.
Portable wrote, “Wetin you talk inside that video with Ashabi Simple. Pls, I respect my home; I no dey use am do movie. Why you go talk sey shey she tell me before coming. Shey una no dey collect money for her hand ni?
“I respect that why I come to your DM. I no dey use my home play. Why you go talk like that? Na today I dey see una?”.
“But why everybody dey talk say I get wahala. Make una dey talk good about me. Me sef, I dey loyal o. Loyalty pass juju”.
Odunlade responded with an apology, reassuring Portable of his respect and affection for him and his family.
He wrote, “My brother good evening. I am just seeing this now.
I love you and I think you know that. I can never disrespect your home or disrespect you.
Your family is my family”.
Portable appreciated the actor’s response, thanking him and offering prayers.
He replied, “I respect you, boss. I really appreciate you. God bless you”.
